Mom's Love
Written for Mom
From Scott
Mom, what can I say
that hasn't already been said?
It was you who always nurtured me,
you made sure I was well fed.
From that very first moment,
when you held me in your arms;
my brown hair resting against you,
safe with you against all harm.
Your cooking kept me growing,
you wanted me to succeed -
homework help and dedication,
you set goals for me to achieve.
We both know my intelligence
was given to me by you,
Dad wasn't the one in high school
who graduated number two.
The debt I owe you is tremendous,
the payments will never be through,
You've given me everything in life
and that's why I love you.
