To Dad
Written For Dad
From Your Son
Dad, it's hard to express
just what you mean to me -
from lessons learned and skills taught
to providing paternity.
You've always been the person
I can go to for aid,
Emotionally, financially,
I owe a debt that can't be paid.
You raised me to be kind,
and to work well with others.
I had to practice these lessons
every day with my two brothers.
You've helped me grow up,
you pushed me along the way
to be the best I can be;
you made me put in the effort every day.
Although I'm now a man,
and the lessons left are but a few.
Your duties aren't quite over yet,
you've got to help with grandkids too!
